GLOBAL WHEAT INFORMATION SYSTEM


GWIS is the wheat implementation of the International Crop Information System (ICIS) which is a database system that provides integrated management of global information on genetic resources and crop cultivars. This includes germplasm pedigrees, field evaluations, structural and functional genomic data (including links to external plant databases) and environmental (GIS) data.

  
 

GWIS has been funded by


  • the Grains Research and
    Development Corporation (GRDC) and

  • the Australian Centre for Plant Functional Genomics (ACPFG)

CIMMYT Australian Germplasm Evaluation (CAGE) Suite of Projects

The CAGE suite of projects is funded by the Grains Research and Development Corporation to promote uptake of CIMMYT germplasm by Australian breeding programs.

This page contains a collection of lists of germplasm imported from CIMMYT (Centre for the Improvement of Wheat and Maize) for various Australian projects.
